I have seen 3 Allergists in San Antonio over the past 10 years for recurrent sinus infections. Dr. Vaughn was the only one to discover that I was not making antibodies to a bacteria called strep. pneumonia. This bacteria causes frequent sinus infections. I was given the pneumonia shot to fix this problem and have noted a dramatic reduction in infection frequency.

I was sent to the Vaughn's by my PCP for Headache I have had for years. I had a little sinus congestion, a little clear drainage from my nose. Dr. Vaughn looked in my nose and pronounced the presence of a sinus infection. I was skeptical. Dr. Vaughn sent me for a CAT scan to confirm the diagnosis and found severe disease in all of my sinuses. I was treated with antibiotics and sinus rinsing and after 3 different courses of antibiotics my headaches finally resolved. They have been gone for 3 month.

With 4 kids living in South Texas it seems there is always something in the air. I appreciate the Drs. no nonsense way of treating mine and my kids allergies. I was not aware allergies could be cured until we started going to Alamo Asthma & Allergy. I also like the fact I can get any paperwork I need for the visit ahead of time from their website.
