When a band from Austin, Houston, or San Marcos asks me where to play in San Antonio, Jiggers is always a suggestion. Especially for bands trying to get a leg up and need some gig time under their belts. It's a great neighborhood bar with its built in regulars, and the bands are always treated well and compensated fairly. The place has an Austin feel with a straight up San Anto. attitude. As far as the name Jiggers- it's a glass designed for a single shot of whiskey. If you're offended by that, then you're probably too stupid to be walking into that bar in the first place.‎

Came in on an off night and had a blast. Bartender not only gave great service, but was also soft on the eye's. Music and lights were nice and low key, which made for great atmosphere. Drink prices were reasonable. All in all it makes for a great weekday hangout / weekend party.

I am cleaning the place up folks. We are dishin up the best live music in San Antonio, and slingin cheap drinks. The beer is cold and our bar vixens will always greet you with a smile.‎

I went to this place to see music. What I got was a freakin staff-run drama show. If I had wanted to see a bunch of chicks screaming and dudes kicking each other in the face I would have stayed home and watched reruns on Jerry Springer. It's a bar; I get it. Fights break out. But most of the time it's some drunk customer starting it. The people acting the worst were the staff members, mostly the chick bartenders and serving staff. Freakin ridiculous. Some guy even went up on stage while The Ramifications were playing and stopped the song to tell everyone he just got kicked in the face and then the chick with pink hair went up there and started talking too. Are you serious? Did you seriously just interrupt the band thinking anyone here CARES about your white trash life? Thank God the band held it together and just picked it up from there and put on a good show. What a bunch of trash that works there. I'll never go back.
